Hi, it looks like a Lixus sp maybe paraplecticus? Except they like damp areas

Adults are mostly active in spring and autumn [ 1 ] and they are the ones who hibernate.
The larvae live on the aquatic hemlock , the big berle and other apiaceae (umbellifera).
So your beans should be safe!!!!! 🙂
