I think that this is one of my favorite butterflies. On the wing now already in February!

I love these. There is a strip alongside a south facing track that they love and are here every year as an early bit of butterfly glamour!

Be sure to have plenty of the foodplant, Aristolochia or as I call it, spiky ivy! This has an awesome aroma late Autumn as a bonus.

I agree, it’s one of my favourite too, so delicately marked. Lots of butterflies out on the wing, February is a great month.
