Wolves prey on domestic stock because hunters killed all the deer?

Just saw this interesting article over at FAPAS. The theory is that over hunting of deer in the north of Spain has forced the wolf to prey on farm livestock putting the blame directly in the hands of the hunting fraternity.

This point of view comes from an outdoor pursuits company that has stopped its yearly excursions to hear the deer “bellowing” as there are so dew deer their clients are left disappointed.
