If you come to Cadiz and visit Doñana, Bahia de Cadiz, or even La Breña y las marismas de Barbate natural parks, you will see that part of the saltmarshes are man-made.
This sustainable way of fishing found in these natural parks have been used by Phoenicians to produce salt and later on for fishing.
