Interesting to see the data coming from the Migres fundación regarding bird migration crossing the strait of Gibraltar. The amount of black kites is quite jaw dropping.

Hi this is last years data (one week later though). Migres publish the data each week through the migration season on their facebook page… I can’t find any solid articles though that show the data all in one article for the last 25 years…..
The records show masssive numbers in migration, as many as 170.000 birds in spring and 230.000 in autumn.

That’s amazing numbers – however do they count them?

🙂 Counted by lots of eyes but I often wonder how they are not counted more than twice?

When you tick the stay logged in box it lasts on your computer for 2 weeks or so… If you don’t visit the site within that time then you get logged out. IE the cookie expires. If you visit then it renews the logged in cookie on your machine…. 🙂
You wouldn’t notice that on social networks like facebook especially with a phone because you log in on a daily basis (or your phone does it for you) so the cookie never times out and you always stay logged in….
Guess the trick is to visit more often!!!! 🙂 hehehehe
