If you tick the “keep me logged in” box when you log in the forum puts a “cookie” on your machine (phone, tablet or computer). The cookie tells your machine to tell the forum that you are already logged in when next you visit http://iberianatureforum.com/ thus saving you time or having to remember your password.
The cookie (as with all cookies) has an expiry time which is 2 weeks. IE after 2 weeks residing on your computer and you don’t visit the forum it stops working and you have to log in with your user and password as normal.
Every time you visit the forum the cookie gets renewed and extended for another 2 weeks.
So, to stay auto logged in, just visit the forum a minimum of once ever 10 days or so!!!! easy! 🙂
Cookies on facebook and twitter also expire but it seems that they don’t as you are always logged in no?. This is because many people visit these social networks daily (or hourly). Phones auto visit for you to keep you logged in… The cookie is always renewed
