Nice little video here of the cranes in Gallocanta and the surrounding area. I haven’t been to this area of Spain for many years now and this year with the Covid restrictions I am sure that the cranes are spotting far fewer 2 legged creatures with binoculars! 🙂
The census this year is around 35,000 individuals.

Hi Clive, thanks for that video, brought back lovely memories. I went to Gallocanta 5 years ago and was treated to the amazing spectacle of hundreds of cranes returning from the fields at sunset. Spectacular, and the noise of the cranes wow! 🙂
