Flower for ID SOLVED – Campanula patula 6 petals

I would like help in ID-ing this flower, I thought it was a “Bellflower” but it seems bellflowers have only five petals and this has six. Would be obliged if you can help!

Hi! Looks like a Campanula rapunculus with 6 petals!

But on closer inspection I am going for a six petalled Campanula patula which seems to occur. I found this photo on flickr

However…. The wikipedia entry makes no note of a 6 petalled version… hmmmmm

Thank you for your reply and the various links you attached. It does seem to be “patula”, but l have not seen a bellflower with 6 petals before. But l suppose there are unexpected varieties in all walks of nature. By the way my name is John..again thank you
