What do the exclamation marks mean?

Down the left hand side there are exclamation marks? what do they mean?

Hi Rachel, You mean the green and grey ones I think down the left hand side? Clive I am sure will correct me if I am wrong but i think that when The exclamation mark is green it means that there is a new post or comment in the particular forum. So you can scroll down to see where the new posts are…. if its grey then it means that you have seen and read all the posts in that forum……?????? I think! 🙂
